Catholic Social Services and the Archdiocesan Office for Child and Youth Protect…

Catholic Social Services and the Archdiocesan Office for Child and Youth Protection have teamed up to collect diapers for low-income families throughout the month of April in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Did you know, parents spend approximately $75 a month on diapers and that government safety net programs such as WIC do not provide diapers for babies? Many parents are already struggling to pay for rent and food and simply cannot afford the high cost of an adequate supply for their children. As a result, a baby can spend a day or longer in one diaper leading to potential health and abuse risks.

You can help low income families throughout Philadelphia by donating packs of diapers directly to CSS’ Family Strengthening Centers. To find a location closest to you, please visit https://cssphiladelphia.org/contact/.
