Our Lady of Hope School is proud to announce that the following students have been awarded the Josephine C. Connelly Achievement Award. This award is accompanied by a tuition grant of 1/3 of their high school tuition for each year of their four years at a Catholic High School in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The two students , Brooke Campbell, and Leyre Martin, will receive their grant at an awards ceremony on May 15th. The award is based on parish and school involvement, working to academic potential, and Catholic commitment and witness.
Congratulations to Giana Trout, an eighth grader at Our Lady of Hope School, who was selected to receive the Daniel Parillo Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is presented by the Board of the Memorial Scholarship Program and is accompanied by a $1000 scholarship toward her high school. She will receive her award at a banquet on April 28th.
May 4th, doors open at 6:30 pm and the event begins at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $35 which include 10 bingo cards. Tables of 8 may be purchased at a discounted price of $240. Raffles will be available. Epiphany’s Fourth Magi is sponsoring a clothing drive in our parking lot (enter on Jackson near 12th Street ) on Saturday, May 5th from 9 am to 1 pm. We will be using the services of GreenDrop to support our parish clothing drive. GreenDrop supports the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Red Cross, The Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the Association of the Blind.
GreenDrop accepts items such as clothing and shoes, household goods including area rugs, yarn jewelry, framed pictures towels, quilts, sheets and pillow cases. Games/toys, (bicycles, tricycles, stuffed animals). Small appliances under 50 pounds, electronics, sporting goods, books (not encyclopedias or magazines, luggage, hardware tools, CD’s and videos, computer towers and printers. They do not accept furniture, large appliances, televisions, computer monitors, exercise equipment, wheelchairs, crutches or walkers.
